I'm a menapausal mother and grandmother, married to(and still in love with) my high school sweetheart, working at home for my husband, forever gaining and losing weight kinda gal. It's safe to say I would have benefitted from therapy throughout my life, but I'm also a do-it-yourselfer who thinks I can figure out and fix myself by myself! When I turned 49 in October 2009, I started a journal to track my "50th Year Celebration!" After a few, sporatic and rambling journal entries, I knew I needed a way to organize my thoughts AND remind myself to make entries. I came up with the acronym "WALK" to catagorize reoccuring themes in my journal -
W-What's up?(What's on my mind today)
A-Activity(move it or lose it!)Also adding "Appreciation" on those days when I'm not moving it, just losing it!!
L-Laughter(the best medicine)
K-Kindness(random and not-so-random)
This is a record of what I think about and what I do as I walk through life. Reminding myself to laugh a lot and be kind to others just makes the journey easier!
OMG Candy he looks just like you!!
