200...again!

I've lost 2 lbs. this week again. This is what I figure...I've removed my tally board from the blog because if I keep gaining and losing the same two pounds on alternate weeks, by the end of a year I'll have tallied 50 pounds lost and still weigh 200 pounds...seriously?...what's the point? That doesn't mean I'm giving up by any means! I'm still determined to continue with healthy lifestyle choices and see where it leads me. I think I lost a couple pounds because I've been very busy with life. This is the exercise I've had this week:
Packing and hauling stuff - up and down stairs a lot!
Scraping, plastering, and painting the laundryroom
Pulling up carpet and padding and hauling it away
Cleaning the garage.
Another thing that helped me is that I don't have a lot of junk food in my house so even if I feel like eating it, it's just not here to eat. I still plan on weighing in each Wednesday because I think it will help me stay true to my goal of healthier living! My exercise goal this week is to bust out my bike and go for a ride at least 4 times this week...now that sound like fun and a great stress reliever!

Aurgh!

Another Wednesday = another pound gained and feeling like I don't care so much about that today. I've been sick since last Saturday and have lost focus on ...well just about everything. To sum it up - I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired! If I could just get rid of this cough I'll be on my way to a healthy me and a good night's sleep. Right now I'm going to go outside and soak up some sunshine...put a smile on my face... and just keep swimming!

48.6 Pounds Lost

How long is forever?.....Apparently one week! Last week I said goodbye to the 200's FOREVER but now I'm back in them. I weighed myself last week at Heidi's house so I'm not sure if the gain is the difference in our scales or if it's me. I've been stressing this week about work and eating more than usual so I'll assume it's a little of both. Well, after today the books will be turned over to our accountant for 2009 taxes and I'll be free to procrastinate for another year. Thanks to whoever lost the pound this week! I'm hoping to help out this coming week and reloose(?)...again...the same f*#@* two pounds I lost before. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.....just keep swimming....;)

47.6 Pounds Lost!

Yeah, that's right...I said 47.6! I lost 3 pounds last week and am saying goodbye to the 200's forever - sitting at 198 now!! Brandyn logged in at 3 pounds down just so he could be cool like me - I say that not him. I'm not sure who logged the 2 pounds but I'm betting on Kim - great job! The other 20 pounds was lost by Heidi over the last couple weeks - granted eight pounds of that is sitting here looking at me - Hi Tanner- but I'm soooo taking it as part of our tally. My tally --my rules! I have been taking my vitamins, fish oil, and other suppliments regularily for 3 weeks now and I can really tell the difference. My cravings are way down, mostly gone really. My "Change your Brain, Change your Body " book says that by feeding your brain what it needs, cravings will be reduced - so far so good. Also, it takes about 30 days for your skin to replace itself with new skin so I'm waiting to reep that benefit soon also. This weeks goal is to increase my exercising. I'm hoping that once I get back home, I WILL get into a routine that works for me. Here's to a great week ahead!

19.6 POUNDS LOST!

Amanda lost another pound this week bringing the total lost so far to nearly 20 pounds. Thanks for the inspiration, it really helps me to keep trying. I also lost a pound but it was the same pound I lost 2 weeks ago, gained back during my "Tanner" week, and relost it again-so it doesn't really count. I'm away from home again this week but this time I've packed a cooler with yummy healthy foods - fresh fruit and veggies, yogurt, sandwiches and protein bars. By doing this, I've avoided any fast food temptations - in fact we haven't stopped to eat anywhere. I know this week will be a good one - I feel very motivated - maybe it's the warm weather!

Weigh in Update


I need to update my Weigh-in tally - - there were 5 pounds total lost this last week! I'm not sure who lost them but it's AWESOME! I weighed myself this week at Heidi's house and was 202. That's 1 pound up from last week but it might be the difference in scales. I'll be heading home on Friday and hope to get into the swing of things and check things out with my scale. The good news is that I've been trying to drink a lot of water and eat healthy portions including lots of fruits and veggies. I miss my exercise routine and have been trying to walk but haven't done much of that either. Keep up the good work everyone and we'll see what happens next week on Weigh-In Wednesday!

Drumroll Please...

The first Weigh-in Wednesday results are in .....Cassie, Kimmy,Amanda and I have lost 13.6 pounds so far! Yeah! Keep on trying everyone! Remember, the numbers don't always tell the whole story so even if you didn't get any pounds tallied this week, keep on moving and eating healthy and we'll see you back here next week for Weigh-In Wednesday!!

201!

Yep...201! I'm down 3 pounds for the week. Quite honestly I feel like I worked really hard for each pound. It's been a week of changes for me and my body is still adjusting. I started by reducing my coffee to one cup a day - killer the first 3 days but now manageable. After 2-3 trips to the grocery store, the refridgerator is stocked with healthy food choices. I've been taking a multivitamin and a few other suppliments(flax, fish oil, extra calcium and vitamin C) to help me get healthier and reduce cravings. As far as exercise goes, I've been walking much more than usual and I've also thrown in my Turbo Jam workout program. I did Turbo Jam for three weeks in December and had started seeing some results but then I fizzled over the holidays and through my vacations. I really love the workouts and they kick my butt every time. I hope everyone's week went well! If you have lost pounds, please tally it on our board. If not, don't be discouraged! Today is a new day... and so is tomorrow... and the day after that! Take some advice from Dora - "just keep swimming, just keep swimmng ...

And They're Off!

204! Yep... that's the starting point...this time! I've been as high as 220 and as low as 150...and that's just in the last few years. It's just a point of reference after all and only one small part of getting into a new and improved shape! Check out the new poll-taking gadget(widget?) thingy I added. I'm impressing myself with my techno savy ways. I don't know if it will work, but here was my thought.... I have 6 ladies so far that want to track their weight loss with me so when they check out my blog, they can enter the pounds they've lost and we can all watch them tally up together. Try it this week and see how it works. I think I won't put my pounds lost on here until next Wednesday....but some people might weigh more often...whatever you want to do is fine. Sadie was at 238 this morning...Thanks for doing this with me Sadie!
Also....I thought of another eating healthier essential that I love...Egg Beaters! If you've never tried them you should.

What's up? Eating healthier!



It's time to get into shape - my typically pear shaped body is morphing into an apple. I've been thinking of how and when to start - trying to get into a good state of mind - and I'm finally there.


I went grocery shopping this morning and bought the supplies I need to eat healthier. I've done this enough times to know what helps me stay on track. Here are three things I must have:

1) lemons- I slice and freeze it so it's always available in my freezer to add to my water. I'm not a fan of plain water and tend not to drink much unless I lemon it up

2) snack bars- The ones I bought today are around 150 cal and 5-7 g of protein

3) fresh fruits and veggies- This requires me to go grocery shopping more often (aauugghh)but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I'm making some fresh salsa today -yum!

This part is new - I'm going to start "Weigh-In Wednesday". Each Wednesday morning I'll weigh myself and post my results here. Sadie said I can post her weight loss on here also. I'm hoping this accountability will help me stay on track. Amanda's blog "New Year...New Me...Diet Details" has inspired me to blog about my weight loss journey. Honestly, I've been down this road so many times it's bordering on ridiculous! Might as well do it one more time and I'm sure it will help to have friendly faces traveling with me!
